The official definition
What is a
Natural Freak™?
It started as EFX's name for the athletes it backed. Then EFX wrote it down and held its own team to it.
nat·u·ral freak™ noun
Any dedicated athlete who trains and/or competes and excels without the use of drugs or banned substances (as defined by WADA, the World Anti-Doping Agency) to enhance their performance.
Who qualifies
Clean is a
commitment.
- Never used.Natural from day one.
- Used before. Quit for good. The definition makes room for athletes who stopped.
- On and off a cycle.Going on and off doesn’t qualify.
Not just size
Freak is the feat.
A Natural Freak isn't measured in inches. Feats of strength, wins on the mat and big transformations all count. In EFX's words, "it is the extent of the actual accomplishment that we celebrate."
The code
Bettertolosewithhonorthanwinwithshame.
“We believe it’s better to lose with honor… than win with shame.”

Tested
Proof, not
promises.
Every sponsored Natural Freak agreed to random drug screens, at any time, at EFX's expense. Fail or refuse, and the deal was over. The results went up on the EFX website for anyone to read.
